A bit about Eli...

Eli was the first Male that we imported from our good friend, Valerie Hughes (Carraigbern), from Ireland as a puppy. I had been speaking to Val about how exciting this mating as had been following his father for some time..His father is Multi Ch Milbu Bold As Bear from Latvia and his mother Fortuneia Campfire Marshmallow from Estonia. We wanted to import Eli for some fresh blood and to be able to put him to our girls. 

We instantly fell in love with his exuberant and outgoing, yet also sensitive nature and as he grew we soon realised that he is most certainly not aware of his large size! Eli is a good size male at the top end of the Bernese Mountain Dog standard at 27 inches, yet he still can bound around, at both the house and moors, plus squeeze himself onto the sofa with you! Eli, is very much a "Daddy's" boy and very loyal, yet also a complete clown and absolutely loves his days out at the shows. He does not like to be left behind!

We are so proud of him and all that he has done in the show-ring...we initially made him up into a champion within 6 months following our forced break due to Covid-19; he has now gone onto win numerous group placements, including a Championship Show Group win and was Best of Breed at Crufts 2025!! He has also proven himself as a sire and we have had some lovely daughters by him. We generally find him to put his head quality onto his puppies, improve upon rear angulation and provide them with a solid core and body once mature. Like him, we do find his puppies are slow to mature. Eli has really come into his prime, once he reached 6 years of age...Regarding the HSIMs Database, we usually find that he breeds as a very good SH B when looking at different combinations with numerous bitches.

We are also very pleased with his current Grandchildren so far and are now onto Great Grandhchildren.
